What should you listen for when you hear a new choral concert? Sometimes, knowing a little about the music—and the stories behind it—can make the experience even richer.

“It means the world to me and my students to be supported in this way.” Those words came from the choir teacher at Montbello High School after receiving a Kantorei Elevate Classroom Grant—and they capture something at the heart of why this program exists.

Announcing Kantorei’s 2026-27 Season! I can't wait to introduce our singers and audience to new music alongside standards of the choral repertoire - just like any Kantorei season you encounter with us!

Working with Kantorei has meant far more to me than a musical collaboration. It has been a journey of discovering my own voice — not only as a conductor, but as a human being.

Through the Alison N. Roman Scholarship, young musicians are given the opportunity to continue their education and pursue their passion for choral music.
