Concert Venues

Is Kantorei a church choir? No, Kantorei is a secular community choir, not a church choir. Our concerts are performances rather than religious services.

So why do we perform in churches? We perform in churches because Denver has a limited number of venues designed to accommodate large choral ensembles. Churches often offer the excellent acoustics that choral music requires, along with seating and performance spaces that can accommodate our singers and audiences. They also tend to be among the most affordable venue options for a nonprofit arts organization, allowing us to keep more of our resources focused on the music and our mission.
