Kantorei opened its 2010-2011 concert season with a wonderful collection of contemplative choral works in concerts held in early October. Polish composer Jozef Swider’s radiant Cantus Gloriosus, which Kantorei plans to perform during its National ACDA Convention performance, was an audience favorite. Also highlighting the evening was composer James MacMillan's meditative Dominus dabit benignitatem, an intricate work that features Kantorei's soprano section against the calm, static parts of the lower three voices.
