Kantorei Previews ACDA Performance with "A Serenade to Music"

Singing to a near sold-out audience, Kantorei made its second appearance of the season on the popular Augustana Arts Concert Series in a joint performance with the Musica Sacra Chamber Orchestra. Set to perform for a national audience in March, Kantorei opened the program with a preview performance of its National ACDA Conference concert program, including Jozef Swider’s energetic and radiant Cantus Gloriosus. Without a doubt, the highlight of the evening was Kantorei joint performance of composer Ralph Vaughan Williams’ A Serenade to Music with the Musica Sacra Chamber Orchestra. A tranquil and graceful work, Vaughan Williams masterfully sets text from Shakespeare's "The Merchant of Venice."
