Audition Information
New member auditions are typically held in mid-July or Early August when openings exist. Skilled choral singers in all voice parts will be considered.
The audition will consist of a single prepared piece demonstrating vocal range, color, size, intonation and musicianship. An accompanist will be provided. Tonal recall and sightreading exercises will complete the audition.
Kantorei is not open to high school or undergraduate college singers, singers with no choral experience, or singers who cannot sightread.
Kantorei typically rehearses from 6:00pm-8:30pm on Sundays, mid-August through May, at Wellshire Presbyterian Church (2999 S. Colorado Blvd., Denver, CO). The choir performs up to six major concerts each year and typically performs smaller community outreach concerts on a volunteer basis throughout the year.
